Taking Reductil
Reductil is taken in 2 or 3 mg doses once daily with or without food. If you forget to take Reductil you should carry on with the next dose as usual. Don't take a double dose to make up for your missed dose as this may cause you to feel unwell.
Usually it is best not to drink alcohol while taking Reductil as alcoholic drinks such as beer, cider, wine or spirits arehigh in calories and are a common cause of weight gain. They can also have an effect on your Reductil medication and cause serious side effects.
You make sure that you combine Reductil with a good balanced diet that contain lots of fresh fruit and vegetables as well as other food groups such as fibre, protein etc. You will find lots of healthy recipes on the internet that can help you plan your food intake. If you have lots of healthy snacks to hand this should also help when ever you might feel the odd craving. Snacking between meals can be a major cause of weight gain and by cutting out the quantity of sugar and fat rich snack your weight loss will occur much quicker.
Exercuise is also very effective when combined with a healthy diet and Reductil. You should try and be as active as possible and build up slowly otherwise you may cause an injury if you are not used to exercise. You should make sure that you also do not get dehydrated and drink enough water regardless of exercising or not. The key to do a little bit of exercise (20 mins ) upto 3 times a day.
